On August 22, 2025, the Unveiling Ceremony of the Joint Experimental Center for OSD Forms between SMA and CPU Pharma was held at China Pharmaceutical University in Nanjing. Mr. Yin Wenping, the Chairman and General Manager of Shandong SMA Pharmatech Co.,ltd., stated: "The joint establishment of this experimental center with CPU Pharma is a key initiative for SMA to empower the industry in a deeper manner. In the future, both parties will jointly tackle key technologies to make pharmaceutical production more efficient and reliable." Mr. Zhou Gaoxiang, the Chairman and General Manager of CPU Pharma, emphasized: "This experimental center is a practical platform for in-depth integration of industry, academia, and research. The two parties will integrate resources to carry out full-chain research from formulation development to process optimization, providing advanced experience for the industry." The establishment of the Joint Experimental Center marks a new stage in the strategic cooperation between SMA and CPU Pharma in the field of pharmaceutical technology, and also injects new driving force into the intelligent upgrading of China's OSD form industry.

Subsequently, at the Symposium on Continuous Manufacturing Technology for OSD Forms, the technical team from SMA shared a number of cutting-edge topics, including 《Automated Solutions for OSD Forms and Complex Formulation Processes》, 《Case Studies on Continuous Manufacturing of OSD  Forms and Application of PAT Technology》 and 《Thematic Introduction to Hot Melt Extrusion Technology》etc., from multiple perspectives such as process development, equipment configuration and service support, the team comprehensively demonstrated innovative solutions for pharmaceutical processes and production. The participants at the symposium conducted in-depth and lively discussions around relevant technical topics, and reached broad consensus on the challenges in industrializing of continuous manufacturing processes and future cooperation directions.

After the conclusion of the topic exchange session, the technical team from SMA accompanied the guests on an on-site visit to the Joint Experimental Center for Solid Dosage Forms, where a variety of equipment was showcased, including capsule filling machines, tablet presses, coating machines, roller compactors, continuous granulators, fluid bed dryer, and high shear mixer. Professional technicians provided the guests with detailed explanations and live equipment operation demonstrations, enabling the participants to gain a more intuitive and in-depth understanding of the equipment performance and applications. All attendees benefited greatly from the visit.
