On August 11, Vice Governor Wang Guiying and her entourage visited SHANDONG SMA PHARMATECH CO., LTD. (SMA) to conduct a special inspection on the innovative development of the modern pharmaceutical industry. Sun Yong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shandong Provincial People’s Government, Li Tao, Director-General of the Shandong Provincial Medical Products Administration, and municipal leaders Zhao Qingwen, Guo Qing, Zong Zhijian and Wang Xiaodong took part in the relevant activities. Yin Wenping, Chairman and General Manager of SMA, accompanied the inspection and delivered a work report.

Vice Governor Wang Guiying toured the SMA’s Process Innovation Research Center, Continuous Manufacturing Laboratory and production workshops. She learned in detail about the enterprise’s progress in quality management, R&D innovation, production, sales and market expansion. She focused on reviewing SMA’s innovative practices in continuous pharmaceutical manufacturing, and fully recognized the breakthrough research achievements made by SMA as a pioneer exploring this emerging field.

During the inspection, Vice Governor Wang Guiying stressed that pharmaceutical equipment serves as a critical pillar of the pharmaceutical industrial chain. The enterprise should keep intensifying research on core equipment technologies, strengthen competitive products, build reputable brands and bolster core competitiveness. It should seize development opportunities in continuous manufacturing, speed up key technological breakthroughs and commercialization of research outcomes, advance industrialized rollout and demonstration applications across the sector, and drive the upgrading and iteration of pharmaceutical equipment. Meanwhile, the Company must firmly uphold awareness of quality and safety, shore up the bottom line of drug safety through reliable equipment, and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of the province’s pharmaceutical industry.
